custom grid problems

How do I create a new grid with column widths in pixels (rather than percentages); then create a layout from that grid, and then, assign the new layout to the section I want? Is this strictly done through the vBulletin CMS Grid Manager? Or elsewhere?

You would need to create a grid that is close to what you want and then click the Flatten button and edit the grid code/css to be how you want.
