Yes, just put the default one with the text saying they are too lazy and stupid to upload their own, I'm sure many will immediately upload some custom avatars.

It seems my forum has come to a standstill. i have a feel the competing forum who used to be a user has once again hacked me and inserted an exploit, I am sure he's sent a mass mailing to everyone to get them to go to his site, once again and leave mine. very strange - users have issues logging in too.. The crazy nature of the Internet, should report him to the feds

Unless you have some sort of proof, there's nothing you can do.
