Sort posts in a thread by author

I have been hoping to find that this modification already exists because it seems useful and doable, but have come up empty. I would like to be able to view threads re-sorted by author. I'm picturing this as a menu option at the top of the thread, but am not fussy about it.

Anyone know of a mod similar to this?
