View Full Version : Add-On Releases - Auto bump threads every XX hours

Auto bumping thread(s) every XX hours.

Installation:

1. Upload to your vB files from "upload" folders
2. Import XML

Settings:

1. Go to AdminCP->Settings->Options->autobump

2. Enter the number of threads for Bumping, separated by commas. It is important not to make mistakes! Indicating the wrong threadID will lead to errors in queries! No checks for the existence of such a topic with this ThreadID!
Sample: 31600,5207,24331

3. Enter the time Bumping. The time is entered in the form of hours (24 hour format), separated by commas.
That is, 01,05,10,15 - Bumping will start at 01:05, 05:05, 10:05, 15:05, etc.

New in v1.1:

1. Bumping random threads

New Settings in AdminCP:

1. Enable/Disable features "Random bumping"
2. Enumerate Forums ID for search and bumping threads. Important! Do not let the errors in forumID!.

Sample:1,3,4,7 - In these forums will be Bumping threads.

3. Period (in days).

Sample:90-120 - Bumping threads least 90 and no older than 120 days.

4. Threads count - Number of threads to bumping. Do not put too big value. In each forum will bumping threads to equal that number.

P.S.
The exact time of task execution (the default is XX hours: 05 minutes) can be changed in "Scheduled Tasks" -> Sheduled task manager->AutoBump regular actions.
You can only change the first parameter of minutes! Do not change the other options - this will lead to incorrect operation mode.

P.P.S.
Time in the settings must match the server time. Perhaps in the future I will make a choice of time zone.

nice idea but bump a old topic, after X days will be a idea too, no?

Old topics can be very much (1000-10000, etc.) - they can replace all new topics :)
Although some conditions can be done, yes :)

select one or multiple forums
or
X numbers topics by forums and random select with a task scheluded, you can make that?

Check out "Scheduled Tasks" there must have item "AutoBump regular асtions."
Just check the record of tasks - in case of errors will display a report as to where the failure occurred.

I would like to be able to bump just one topic every 30 days or so, how would I set this up then
