The problem was most likely caused by your VPS going over its RAM limit. This is recorded on the hardware node as an OOM (out of memory) event. Each time the VPS encounters OOM, some of its processes are killed by Virtuozzo in order to keep the VPS' RAM usage within limits. You may need to reduce your RAM usage or consider upgrading the server with more RAM to avoid such issues. You may be able to save some RAM by disabling some memory-intensive services like ClamAV or Spam Assassin.
I recently had to move from a VPS to a Managed Hybrid because of high server loads, now a week later it's still happening.
Also received an email about disk usage:
Drive Warning: /dev/vzfs (/) is 83% full
Drive Warning: /dev/simfs (/tmp) is 83% full
Received this from my host and they're trying to optimize the database, but I figured you guys will know more on this.
They also pointed out that it's running out of memory.
