Is it possible to disable the user list so that nobody can view a list of all the users?
I want to make the admin username a combination of letters number and symbols, and the user name i will use on forums as admin will only have all forum posting features but no admin control panel access. I think this would be a good security boost if it would be possible to do.

AdminCP > Settings > Options > User Listing Options > Members List Enabled > No

Do you agree that it would make the site more secure? or is it a waste of time

I don't think it'd make it more secure as anyone can still see your usernames via profiles and posts. If you're looking at making your vBulletin more secure, you should have a look at these...

I wouldn't use the admin account for anything but managing admin control panel. I would have a separate account which i would make the name red and call it admin to post on the forums. And it will only have posting permissions. So if they hack the admin account they wont be able to access admin control panel b/c it wont have access to it.

Another reason why you should see the links I posted ;)
You should .htaccess both the AdminCP and ModCP so no unauthorized users can access them

I read those things before and i will implement them but just thought of this as being another layer of security lol but i guess it is just pointless :P
