How do I take a certain thread and use that for my front page on my website? I would like to use 1 designated thread and use that for my front page use similar to macrumors.com and mmo-champion.com. How is this done?

I suppose you could use an .htaccess file to redirect all traffic from yoursite.com/index.php to yoursite.com/showthread.php?t=xxxx

I was just going by your description "take a certain thread and use that for my front page" and I posted how to use a thread for your front page. Those sites just look like they are using some sort of CMS and putting several articles on the main page.

Is there some reason you don't just use the CMS itself?

lynne; this might sound like a dumb question, but can the cms be designed to look like a regular website? transparent blocks and make everything nice n pretty?

Sure, if you know your CSS and html. I've seen some awesome looking sites.
