I have moved the forum into the root of a subdomain, and I am still having issues with it adding "/forums" to the URL's. I am using the correct .htaccess file, and I have removed the line that tells it to add "/forums" to the URL's, and it's still not working.
Any suggestions on what might be wrong?
URL: http://forum.mrsjanuary.com
Thank you!
Did you check the options in the adminCP, Settings > Options > Help Site Name / URL / Contact Details and make sure nothing has /forum on it?

Checking your link, in my addressbar I do not see the trailing "/forums" I see only forum.mrsjanurary.com
And you need a favicon.

But if you go to the site and click on "Main Forum" you can see it's adding /forums.

Take a look at the file class_friendly_url.php. They define the $rewrite_segment for forums in there. I have no idea what changing that will do though since I haven't tried it.

Will be adding the favicon later.

Hmm, I'll look into that. Thank you!

I'm still having problems with this. Can anyone help? I can't get /forums to go away. I also see numbers in the URLS.
For example, one forum URL looks like this:
http://forum.mrsjanuary.com/forums/2-Main-Forum
I want it to look like this:
http://forum.mrsjanuary.com/Main-Forum
Help please!
