Web host has disappeared

I really do not know if any one can help me here- but it's wort a shot !
My web hosting company has disappeared and left my 3 web sites not working.
2 company web sites- which I really depend on the e.mails for orders & the e.mails are not working as well.
Plus I have my forum, which I have put a lot of money and time into- and now thats all gone.
I never did a back up- and this web host has all the data on his servers.....
I have tried to phone his mobil & home number- but both numbers are no longer in use- and I have just found out that his company is with a web hosting company (sweden), and my web name servers are with a company in the states.
Its so frustrating and I am losing money every day- as my customers, order by e.mail.....
I am trying to set up new hosting for my company web sites- but is there a way, I could ever get the data back for my forums.......or will I have to start from scratch ?

If you don't have any type of backups (mainly database backups) at all, and there's no possible way of getting ahold of your host, then as much as it may suck, yes, you pretty much have to start from scratch.

Also, get a dependable and reliable host ;)

And in the future, make sure you make a database backup at least once a day, and have a copy of it on your server (not accessible to the public, obviously) and a copy on your hard drive. I use Paul M's backup mod here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=231481)
