Adding Google Analytics to v3.8 and soon to be v4.

I need to add my Google Analytics code to my forum and I can't figure out how to do so. Where can I add said code in order for google to track my entir site? This will be used on v3.8 and then soon to be v4.

You may add it to common templates like for example footer or header.

Does anyone know how to get the new version of google analytics to show "Guests" or those not logged in using their realtime overview?
