how can i remove the area on my forum where it says home calandar groups and album tabs is there a way to remove these tabs from my forum

There is no calendar or album tab in default vbulletin, so I'm not sure exactly what you are talking about.

He has a custom style with a customized navbar template or navbar in header template, couldn't tell which.

In that case, Legend Killer1, you need to be asking this question where you got that skin from. :)

EDIT: But more than likely, the code you'll want to remove/modify will probably be in the navbar template
