Installation troubles.....

Im installing a fresh version of 3.8 on my new host. The old host had a "bug" and delted my forum. Everything has gone as expected but when I try to run the /install/install.php script in my web browser, the document is not found. Ive installed my filesthe files from the upload folder directly into the public_html folder. Im logged in as root. Anything obvious Im missing?

this is what I get. Ring a bell with anyone?

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Have you ftped to your site and verified that the file is there? And what are the permissions on the file?

The file is there. The permissions for the install.php is 644

And the directories 'above' that file? Are their permissions 755?

I am facing same problem.

Using 4.2.0 version.

Kindly help me to fix this.
