I have added a new forum & I would like this to be private- for invited members only-
No other members or Vistitors can view the posts.....
But the forum can be seen- and when clicked- it will say " for invited members only"
Can this be done ?
:)

On Forum Permissions, find the forum and click on Deny All. Then choose the usergroups you wish to see the forum and set the permissions appropriately. Then in Forum Manager > find forum > Edit, go set Show Private Forum to Yes.

You want to Invite users into the new usergroup? There is no Invite system. You would need to PM them or something like that. Or, you can try a search and see if there is a modification to do it.

If they accept your invite, you add them to a special usergroup that has permission to view that forum.

Yes, you would need to set up a special usergroup. Alternately, you could use Access Masks (https://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/users_access_masks). It depends on what works best for your forum.

Hey, sorry if im wrong because i just had a really quick look at the posts, But adding a password to the Invite only forum would be better ? Then you can PM the members the Password. The usergroup idea is good, but Depends on the Users preference.

Forum Password ? if you wish to password protect this forum, specify the password here. Administrators, super moderators, and moderators of the forum in question will not be prompted for a password. Passwords are not automatically applied to child forums; use Apply This Password to Child Forums to emulate this function.
Apply This Password to Child Forums ? if you have changed the password for this forum, setting this to yes will apply the specified password to all child forums. This can be used to emulate inheritance of passwords.

You could do that. But, that doesn't prevent users from sharing the password with others and then they can get in also.
