Hi:

I am new to this so, this is my question: I created a widget for forum and it would take the newly posts. That is fine, but I dont want the avatar on the left side, date and forum thread at the bottom, as shown below. How can I remove these?

You may edit that template and remove that information from the template.

To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. (Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.)

"To find the template to modify, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes ." I completed this.

But the later part is not sure! What do you mean by below:

"Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. (Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.)"

Greatly appreciated for your help.

Right click anywhere on the page except on an image or button. Click "View Page Source" or similar

Thank you for letting me know "a trick". I found it and it is "block_threads". I removed all stuff, but the avatar is the issue .

Hi Nerbert:

Thank you again.

So far so good, I am able to remove the avatar, sender, date and time, and postID; however, the avatar is now empty and I could not move the title of the article or post to the left, as shown in attached figure with no. 1. I copy the whole code here under block_threads for more info to get more info on moving it to the left.

You will need to adjust your CSS. If you post a link to the page with the widget, then we can suggest some CSS for you.

Thanks for the response.

HI Lynne:

Can I make a scroll bar for this forum block? In the future, I might have blog and cms in addition. The list will be very very long ... hic hic hic.

Thanks for the info.
