Hello, we are a comunity with vbulletin 3.8 and we´ve a problem when users post a new message. Users cant post because the editor dont work.

I see that this problem is caused by a old wysiwyg editor and only work fine with Firefox and IE8 (IE9 compatibily mode)

Can anybody help us?
Many thanks!

Hi

The icons dont work and i cant see fonts and sizes.

Quick repply:

133681

In the big editor:

133680

The message you have entered is too short. Please lengthen your message to at least x characters.

Firstly quick editor is just that, so it's limited to what you have available, your main editor is showing that because you have the minimum number of characters set too high in your admincp>vBulletin Options

Maybe you have deleted something when editing templates? Anyway, something else to try is AdminCp>vBulletin Options>Cookies and HTTP Header Options and change this setting "Send Internet Explorer 7 Compatibility Header" to yes!

Hi Simon!

With default style have the same problem..

I cant see this option in my AdminCp>vBulletin Options>Cookies and HTTP Header Options

:(It has to be there unless you either don't have full admin rights and are not a super admin or you have a mod thats preventing it or you have changed core files.

I see it in my vB3.8.0 test site under vBulletin Options > Cookies and HTTP Header Options > third to last option... Send Internet Explorer 7 Compatibility Header

hi friends!

I have a administrator folder mixed between 3.6 and 3.8. Can you post the 3.8 original administrator file?

Thanks!

No, we cannot. You will need to download it from your members area.

I don't believe thats possible if you have upgraded!

Is possible, believe me :)

We had a problem with the forum and many plugins and I had to rescue all the errors that appeared patching

Plugin's are not located in your root folder they are imported in to the software system and easily uninstalled, any other files you may have uploaded to aid the plug become redundant when the plugin is uninstalled, so it kinda doesn't explain how your files are mixed unless you upgraded wrong but even then when you ftp your latest edition files in ASCii mode and verwrite you still shouldn't have the problem.
