Thinking about running some different contests or giveaways. Trying to figure out what option are available to manage the events. Can I track refferers between dates? Limit participation in a forum/thread/ contest by post count? Is it possible to track activity on other sites like fb or twitter.
Open to any suggestions

The only one of those I can answer is that you could limit participation in a forum by using user group permissions and adding a promotion based on post count.
