Folks - I'm a moderator at a board using Version 2.0.3. I asked that the admin change my user name but I want my posts to remain intact. Here was his response...

Hey!
I tried everything & it won't work, So heres a workaround!

When I edited moderator name it gave me a "can't find user"
& there wasn't a save button in the profile, although I could change it in the text field.
So, I enabled multiple signups for users. Register again with your desired user name & I'll transfer your mod status to it later today!
That should work!
Cheers.

My question is: Will this work? More importantly, will this method retain my posts?

regards,

DStewart

That means whoever logged into that page isn't an admin. The mod control pannel is like that, the admin control pannel has a save (and reset) button.
