I am working on a new skin for a new site I am building for our racing team. I am using a few .gif's to get the banner to have "the look" I am trying to achieve at the top of the page. I almost have it.....but I have two issues I am need to resolve.

1. For some reason my link to click on to bring members to the home page is on the ends, instead of my image in the center. :confused:

2. I have a tiny space between the header and the start of my forum that I would like removed.

This is the link to my forums. www.heckmanracing.com/forum/index.php

I am using vb3.8.5. This is my header tempate.

<!-- logo -->
<a name="top"></a>
<table border="0" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
<tr>
<td>
<table border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
<tr>
<td align="left" valign="top"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php$session[sessionurl_q]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]/header_end.gif" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></a></td>

<td align="center" width="100%" height="300" valign="top"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php$session[sessionurl_q]">
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" style="background: url($stylevar[titleimage]/header_fill.gif) repeat-x top left;" valign="top">
<tr>
<td align="center" border="0" valign="top">
<img src="$stylevar[titleimage]/quarter_midget.gif" border="0"/>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</a></td>

<td align="right" valign="top"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php$session[sessionurl_q]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]/header_end.gif" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></a></td>
</tr>
</table>
<!-- /logo -->

<!-- content table -->
$spacer_open

$_phpinclude_output

$ad_location[ad_header_end]

Where did I screw up?

I still have alot of other work to do on this skin.

Thanks,

Mike

I bet this is going to look a little different depending on what browser is used. Have you viewed this using other browsers?

You could try this<!-- logo -->
<a name="top"></a>
<table border="0" width="100%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php$session[sessionurl_q]">
<tr>
<td>
<table border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
<tr>
<td align="left" valign="top"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php$session[sessionurl_q]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]/header_end.gif" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></a></td>

<td align="center" width="100%" height="300" valign="top"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php$session[sessionurl_q]">
<table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" style="background: url($stylevar[titleimage]/header_fill.gif) repeat-x top left;" valign="top">
<tr>
<td align="center" border="0" valign="top">
<img src="$stylevar[titleimage]/quarter_midget.gif" border="0"/>
</td>
</tr>
</table>
</a></td>

<td align="right" valign="top"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]/header_end.gif" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></td>
</tr>
</a></table>
<!-- /logo -->

<!-- content table -->
<!-- $spacer_open -->

$_phpinclude_output

$ad_location[ad_header_end]
