View Full Version : Page Nav Issue

When viewing a forum the direct links to each page work fine and add -p# to the end of the url however when you try and go to a page by typing it in the Go to Page drop down box it adds &page= to the end of the url instead. -p# is the only way it actually makes it go to the page you want.

This is also an issue in the edit avatar section. Except it works the other way, clicking on a page makes the url be -p# but the correct path is &page=#.

Where would I find this information at as I can't figure it out from the templates that I've look in.

Vbulletin version: 3.8.6

Try disabling your vbseo and see if you still have this problem.

Disabling seo makes the opposite work. So clicking on a page # still adds the -p# however it does not go to the page at all. And clicking the drop down and typing in a page goes to &page=# and that does go to the correct page.

Is there a template that I am missing where this information is found??

Create a new style with no parent:

Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
Parent Style: No Parent Style
Title: Default vBulletin
Allow User Selection: Yes
Save

Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style and with vbseo still disabled - do you still have the same problem?

If you think it's a template problem, you can go take a look at your templates and see. To find the template of interest, do this - vboptions > General Settings > Add Template Name in HTML Comments > set to Yes . Then go back to your page and view the source code and you will see the name of the template called around your part of the code. (Sometimes the template is the one mentioned at the very top of the page source.)
