I'm fairly close to completing the build of my forum using vBulletin and about ready to open the doors.
Here are some questions I have:
- How did you promote your forum (create awareness of it) to attract new members/users to it?
- Also, a lot of people don't want to be the first person to start a conversation in a quiet room so they just wait for someone else to do it and obviously if no one starts talking the room remains quiet. How did you help new forum members, who have just registered, to start posting threads and posting replies in your forum to get the ball rolling? Obviously, it that doesn't happen you just have a dead forum.
- How long did it take until you felt your forum had gained momentum and was moving forward in growth?
