Is it possible to create category "adult" so only 18+ can access it.

Is this possible, how can i do this?

Vbulletin works via User groups. So just create a new user group based on the registered users group, but give that group access to the private category/forums in AdminCP>forums and moderators>forum permissions.

TBH I'd be a bit wary of having a section that automatically lets people in based on what age they put in when they joined, what if minors got in by putting the wrong age in, will you have a disclaimer?

I have an adult/members only area. To gain access people have to have been a member for 3 months and have over 100 posts. Then they have to request to join and I will approve them based on that. Of course, they could lie but generally over their membership you get a good feel for the age of a person.
