Hey there,

I am having some trouble with the domain path for my forums. We are trying to forward the domain name to our forums, but now what happened is the forums locked up. When I try to go there it says the site is temporary unavailable. I called NS which is who my webspace comes from and they said it had to do with my domain carrier, which is godaddy, I called them and now they say they are not sure what is going on as I should still have access to the site itself. Any idea how to fix this? They say it is a vBulletin thing... I wish I could get a strait answer for once. If you need more information just ask. Thanks for taking some time.

What kind of hosting (shared, vps, dedicated) is this a new host? did you change nameservers, register your host ip?

What domain are you trying to redirect. Is it something you can post here?

I am going to have to confirm which it is, but I believe dedicated. Our host is Network Solutions (Yes they are horrible, looking into changing), we have had the site up a while now and we are just trying to change the root of the domain. And all we did was go on to godaddy (they are who we registered our domain name with in the first place) and we click the button that said transfer your domain name to our new root thingy. For example, www.ouroriginalsite.net and we want it to root to www.ouroriginalsite.net/forums whenever you type in the first site. Basically always default to that site.

Im thinking that you dont need to go through go daddy to do this. I may be wrong but i thought you just change your path yoursite.com/forum or /home /content or whatever in your control panel. godaddy will allow you to change host or server ip and what not? i could be wrong maybe someone will chime in.. I will check back i would like an answer also.. good luck
