One Touch Ban & Clean-up

This is, at it's core, just a port of this mod (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=156444). But I may add new features later on.

The main purpose of this mod is to clean up after a spammer. With a minimum of fuss it will:
Delete all threads started by the spammer
Delete all posts made by the spammer
Delete all PMs sent to other members by the spammer
Delete all calendar events made by the spammer
Ban or delete the spammer as you like
Ignore permissions - posts can be deleted in areas that a moderator may not have access to.The option to activate this tool appears in the drop-down menu in the postbit, as well as on the profile page. From here it is a "one-touch" operation, with the small exception that you must press a confirmation button before the cleanup is made.


See the screenshot for the various options, but some of the more interesting ones are:
You can specify individual users (in addition to groups) who can use this tool. This means certain trusted, non-moderator users could have the ability to clean up spam and ban spammers.
You can specify users or groups who are protected - they cannot be deleted by this tool.
By default, users who have registered more than 30 days ago are also protected from this tool (spammers tend to be caught and removed fairly soon after registration)
You can turn the various deletion targets (threads, posts, events, PMs) on or off
Select between hard delete or soft deleteThis mod is similar to some older mods, but improved in a number of ways:
You also have the choice to alter the standard ban and delete reasons before you press confirm.
Deletes more types of spam (PMs, events)
Simple, quick, effective
Single file import (.xml) no file edits, no template edits, no .php files to upload
Should work on all versions of 3.6.x and future versionsInstallation

Download and import the .xml file via AdminCP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Add/Import Product. Remember to click overwrite if upgrading

Configuration

Once installed, check in your AdminCP under "VBulletin settings" and look for the configuration group called "One-touch Spam Ban & Cleanup Options". The default options should be fine for most people.

How to use

If you have rights to use this tool (i.e. are an admin or moderator, or have configured it for the relevant user or group ID) you should see the option appear in a drop-down on the postbit (see attached screenshots for an example). The idea is that as soon as you see a spammer select the "One-touch Ban & Clean" option to remove all trace of the spammer.

Ok people, i just pmed TheLastSuperman and so i believe this thread will be closed or deleted. I have no way to contact the original creators family to get permission, so i will be recoding this from scratch and adding more features.

My #1 problem now is spammers that register and send a Visitor Message to themselves and that's all that they do. There is no quick-ban tool that I can see to clean this up - there is no pop-up window to show the ban button.

Would be nice to add it into the Admin CP for users. Many register for sleeper accounts and are a pain to still ban. I have auto moderation on so their post never makes it to the forum however it's a pain to ban them still. Could you something into either the User Profile or to the admin cp?

I had a couple of suggestions:

1. Add 'check version' and direct link support to the the plugin as it appears in the "plugins & products -> Manage Products" portion of the administration control panel.

2. Add a feature to forward the information to www.stopforumspam.com using their API key, etc. (perhaps you could piggyback with this addon? https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=230921)

Seems to work on 4.1.10, but there was some conflicts with an anti-spam plugin before though, I forget which one off-hand. Also, there's a small display issue in drop menu when clicking user's name in thread. The little "person icon" is above the text for "One Touch Ban & Cleaner".. beside that, it seems to work pretty good.. xD

NDThis isn't a spam catcher. It's just a spam cleaner. I have user infractions and reported posts going to a sub-forum called trash bin. That option is in your admin cp.

I still like it and so do my moderators. It does not work in the blogs I checked that myself yesterday. If you click on the user name in the blog it doesn't appear and your right my last couple of spammers posted blogs instead of threads.

For those of you that want the ban link on user profiles you can do it manually, if the developer would like to include the insertion into the mod that would be good but until then you can do this :

Search for template : MEMBERINFO

In the template search for :

Directly under it paste :

Notice the red highlight above, they are the usergroups you wish to be able to see the link ( they can use the mod because it follows the mod rules BUT they can see the link.

Click save and your done. You will now see the One touch ban link under your private message link.

As to the errors parts of the coding had / that was not needed this was causing errors when trying to install the plugin I also seen a lot of the text was missing and on the 3rd pic he has there I shortened that wording so it fits better and the option to delete posts from the blogs is not an option that will be added soon

You don't have the updated version that I have made that has the blogs included with the new update. As to the picture above the Protect Users & Groups covers that even if it does show it can't be used against you. You can also make it so only you can use it and only you will see it. Go to admincp/settings/option One Touch Ban & Cleaner Options the you will see 5,6,7 in Admin & Moderator Groups clear this so nothing in there then in Additional Users put your userid

In the AdminCP > Settings > Options > One Touch Ban & Cleaner Options there is no place to specify a URL as indicated in the error above. That, and the identified URL takes you to the smilies page of the forum. What would that have to do with this MOD?

You get taken to the smilie page anytime a mod that uses misc.php doesn't have the variables properly declared or passed to it, so if one of the settings is wrong there just may not be a handler to handle the error and you get sent to the smilie page :)

Okay, but how do I check? The MOD doesn't require any tweaking of variables. Once installed, all settings are in the AdminCP > Settings > Options > One Touch Ban & Cleaner Options.

If there is a variable setting that requires changing, what/were is it, and what does it need to be changed to?

Hi, I tried this plugin on my v4.2 and works fine without any troubles.

@galactictoad, I think it is very simple. All you need is to upload the plugin using the control panel and then you will see the this feature in the option menu at the bottom. Then activate it and look at a user post and click his options to see this feature there.

I did it and it is working fine.

make sure you dont have a blank setting when it should be filled also make sure if it needs a , between some number you put them so please go over all options again and check them

But I have some missing issues to fix:

1) Delete all posts added by user in ChatBoX
2) Add banned user to IP adresses Miserable users addon
3) User's title is "banned". Possible to change to usergroup was finally set? Usually needs re-counter users titles to be displayed corretly.

On installations that don't have the blog, your version kicks db error related to the queries for the blogs.
I know never got round to fixing that yet. If you have the my version feel free to fix it and send me the fix. It's why I only send it to the ones who have blogs.

Its ok will get round to fixing it someday unless any coder wants to do it will give them the plugin via pm. I don't remember giving you the new one with blogs?

I installed this on VB4.2.2PL4 and got no complains however i cant see any "ONE TOUCH" link on the users postbits. Any clues?

The template postbit_onetouchban looks fine to me :???

I had an issue with the ban link ending up below the little icon. You can see what I mean here:

To fix this error for those of you who may have this problem within your skin, you just need to do the following:

1. Login to your ACP go to Styles & Templates > Style Manager
2. Find the style you want to edit to fix this issue. Look to the far right and in the drop down choose "Edit Templates".
3. Find on the left side scrolling box the Postbit template "postbit_onetouchban" and double click on it to open it.
4. Highlight everything in the template and replace it with:

<li class="left"><a class="siteicon_profile" href="misc.php?{vb:raw session.sessionurl}do=spamcleanconfirm&amp;u={vb:raw userid}">{vb:rawphrase spammer_ban_member}</a></li>

5. Click save and check the skin it should be fixed now. At least that is what worked for me :)
