View Full Version : Is anyone else finding their vb.org emails being VERY delayed?

For close to a week now my emails from here (PM notices, subscribed threads/forums/etc...) have been delivered late- usually very late- days late even. Anyone else having an issue? My other emails (not from vbulletin) seem to be fine.

Yeah, I got some late the other day. I guessed that it had to do with sending out quarantine/restore messages. I noticed the same thing happened last time a popular mod was quarantined.

yeah, I guess the 16,000+ emails generated by that must have had some effect.

Edit- as typing this I literally just got the "restore" message for the arcade, it should have been sent 2 days ago.

The emails were probably spread 2 or 3 days purposely to not raise a spamming flag.

I usually get mine a couple hours after I'm supposed to. I don't think I've ever had to wait days to get an email.

I receive them about 30 mins afterwards from here... now the emails from vbulletin.com in regards to license info/patches etc well the last few actually took almost a entire day before I received them.

We push email updates out a day/two after the release.

Yeah, I haven't noticed anything like that - there must be something else going on with yours. Ever look at the full headers to see if you can tell where it was held up?

Why

I feel if there is a new version/patch released for security reasons it should be prompt notification know what I mean?

I looked at a couple headers- the earliest timestamp was just a minute before I actually received it- so it looks like the delay in being sent out is on the vBulletin server.

Security goes out right away, but stuff like new versions. Just incase there is a problem with the initital release and we need to patch something before we do a big push, its done.

Ok perfect, only because I'm quite... *hmm will skip using that word here* about security! So my hearts at ease now and thanks for letting me know ;).
