Add Blog posts to 'What's New'

I would like to know to add the Blogs and Blog posts to 'What's New' so searching new posts from What's New the posts/blogs show up

I believe Andreas wrote a mod that adds more contenttypes to the What's New search. You can probably modify that to only include blogs and posts.
