Spam is killing my forum

Can some one please help me out. I use that spam-o-matic an that either doesn't o enough or does to much. It got to the point i was getting emails from people i knew saying it wouldn't let them register....

I trie the IP banning and email banning and nothing......

Can someone please help me out, maybe recommend something?

I also set the reCAPTCHA an it sucks, Question & Answer Verification
will not work either, Image Verification the same....

I'm all out of ideas

I even have it set to were i moderate members but emails all look the same from regular members to spammers and what not.

Check the IP of spammers and if there from say "Ghana" Block the ip with 123.123.*

Its what I had to do with Nigera and Ghana

I'd suggest using a few spam prevention mods, I'd always run 3 and never had a problem.

Also, use Human Verification for Question and Answers, vBulletin has human verification built in by default and it works like a charm.

I have the best method to stop spammers, check my site and you will not find 1 spammer on there, i have a special mod that does the work for me, and what it does is put all new members as probation members and then once they have introduced them selves they become Registered members and then they can start posting, to see go here: http://uGTeam.org

Your forum hardly has 20 messages (threads + posts) and you claim you do not have any spammers? Why would you with that low activity?

You need to Register to see the full forum, and i did have heaps of spammers until i implemented the new system.
