Hope you can help me out with this one rather quickly.
Ive been told that i cant have a homepage on my VB4, is this true?
Im not that clued up when it comes to website stuff and to be honest im learning as i go along. Will i need to purchase a new licence or is there a simple add on?

The reason i ask is a few local companys would like to advertise on my forum/website but rather then clutter the forum with adverts i wouldnt mind having a homepage so i can stick the adds on there..

also can anyone point me in the direction of a good "advert" add on for VB 4.1.5, id like something where i can place a advert on the forum under the header center of the screeen, everything ive found has been adding them to the right of the screen.

Any help is very much apprecited guys :)

thanks
dan

Erm, who told you that? You can either use the vBCMS if you have a suite licens,e or you can use a third party software (regardless of license type).

You could just use the ad manager, and proper html markup.

Just an FYI, VbAdvanced is awesome, and free. Would work great for what your wanting/needing to do.

You can have a forum let's say at:

www.yoursite.com/forum/forum.php

And then use the CMS as the main site at:

www.yoursite.com/content.php

You need to follow directions here:
https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php/356474-FAQ-How-to-install-CMS-in-Root-Forums-in-subdirectory

Although that's slightly outdated it still serves as a good guide and the required files are included within newer versions of vBulletin in the "do_not_upload/cms" folder.
