Looking for some feedback on my newest design, based on the CF1 theme.

www.teamotec.net

The site is supposed to be clean and simple allowing the user to be drawn in by the photography, not what's going on around it.

Before you mention it, the site is not broken. I removed the header from the cms section of the site so that the images can fill the screen. The header returns in all other areas of the website.

We have a dark fluid skin by default as its the best to show images.

I like what you have done, the blackend skin work best for me.

Thanks snoopy, but I will probably be sticking with the current theme. Any insight on that?

Anyone else?

Hi are you able to share the random photo gallery mod which you installed in your forum? I would love to install it as well.

Thanks

Hey andrei, thanks for the review! There is a search bar on the top of this page where you can look for things. Ill be nice tho and guess that you are complimenting my site by looking for some of my mods. The slider is here

Does anybody have an actual review of the skin I am using?

This thread is another glaring example of vb support. 90 views, and two posts with no real help.....

What support? This is a review thread.

Having other members review your website isn't covered by any vB agreements. :)

I'll give a review:

Overall it's nice. Simple, but the homepage is not the fastest loader. The homepage also looks weird without the header, I would recommend that you add it back, though that's just my opinion. The site is also not netbook friendly. At a 1024x resolution it's far too wide. Keep in mind the popularity of netbooks and *pads when designing, as these devices are usually horizontally challenged in resolution.

Here's a helpful link in regard to loading times and what's causing the slowdown:

You also have a few validation errors that may hinder or degrade your site in certain browsers:

Private Ale thank you. For the record I understand that reviews are not covered under license, and made that post in an attempt to light a fire that would get me an honest review of the site, which it did.

The missing header: The idea was to give the guest observer of the site the content they wanted (images) right away, with nothing in the way. I feel that my site will be viewed more often by guests than by members and I am happy to cater to their wants if it helps keep my hits up. That being said I do agree that it looks somewhat odd, especially being used to the way vb is usually displayed. Not sure if im going to keep it or not, but for now I am, maybe if I make a thinner header I'll put it back on the cms side.

The load time issues and validation errors were not apparent to me, thank you for pointing them out. I will read your suggested links and see what I can do to correct these issues.

Also, I've been thinking about adding a narrower theme, guess I should
