Need to open up file attachments

does anyone have a way to make it so you can allow any file extension as an attachment rather than having to explicitly list all file extensions? I am using the forum for a very gated community and have not need for this filter.

As it is now you have to define the extension type and set a max size for the file.
As for the grid that shows file types it serves to show the user what file types can be uploaded and how large a file is allowed. It serves its purpose.
Besides if you have a free for all environment you're going to run out of bandwidth and server space real quick. Even with unlimited there's a fair useage cap.

Normally I'd agree with you, but I'm using the forum tool in an unusual manner. There are only 15 users and it is an internal tool for collaboration on chip design across a few development locations.

The first way that I can think of is to add the extensions on the fly with a plugin. You will probably need to open a thread in the paid requests section for this.
