Hello Everyone,
I would like to know if its possible to have a thread close automatically if its in a certain forum. My introduction forum I have made rules that after three days a a thread has been listed it will be closed. I have been doing this manually but if there is way to have it done without me closing the forum manually that would be great.
Thanks
This mod seems to work with vb4.1.4: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=130738

Careful; that author hasn't been on in a while. FWIW, I use Threads Auto Close (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=243402), but I'm sorry to see Vitaly hasn't been on since May.

I'm not sure I'd agree that there's a huge difference between the author's last visit being Feb. or May of this year. In any case, I looked at that one but since it doesn't change the database, if it's ever uninstalled, like if it becomes incompatible with a future update, then all automatically "closed" threads would become open again. (Or at least that was my understanding based on reading the thread). That may be desirable for some applications but it seems to me that in most cases it would just be a potential problem.

I never really thought about it - I think I went with Vitaly's because it worked with vb4 first. But I can't imagine it would be a huge problem, especially if the db is intact. Either there's another mod that could be installed or there isn't.
What's really needed is a customizable notice on closed threads. So we could explain why all our old threads are closed. I know it looks odd to users that don't understand the concept.
