I am currently having some issues with a theme that I am using, the problem is that the main thread for the theme hasn't been updated in quite some time, so I was wondering if I could find a simple fix to this issue within the style manager. Below is what every user is seeing when they attempt to post via quick reply or advanced reply.

Yes posts can still be made, and all of the buttons can be used, the problem is that you can't see them at all. Is there anything that can be done via the style manager to quickly fix this?

Make sure you upload the images/editor/sprite.png file to any custom style/images/editor directory.

I just uploaded the sprite.png file as instructed and still am experiencing the same issue. Any ideas?

I would suggest you double-check the images/editor directory for THAT particular style, to ensure you have sprite.png uploaded. If it has indeed been uploaded, try a hard refresh to see if the images show up. (ctrl+f5)

I'm using vB4 so I go to cpstyles/custom theme name/editor and upload the sprite.png file. I cannot figure out what the problem is. I have logged onto several computers and it still is not showing up correctly, looks exactly like the pictures provided.

Try this:

AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Style Manager > StyleVars > ImagePaths > imgdir_editor

Change the value that's there to:

images/editor

Still have the same problem?

Just did what you said to in the Style Manager and the problem is still there. I honestly don't see what could be causing this. It's so frustrating.

The directory cpstyles is usually only used for cp (Control Panel) styles - the styles you see when you are in the modcp or admincp. Are you sure you are looking in the right place for your custom style directory?

Yes I am sure. I just double checked, and the reason I uploaded it there is because that's where it said to in the Readme file. I am still having the issue. Hope someone can come up with a solution, because I would really like to keep this Style as my default style for my site, it is a really good one.

Your going to have to let us see what is going on then. Post a direct link to the style (make sure it is user selectable) and a test username/password so we can login and see the issue.

You can post it here. We will just use it to see what is happening. As soon as we figure out the issue, just change the password so it isn't valid any longer.

It looks to me like you have not updated your .css templates for that style. You are missing the css for the editor which calls out the image file for your images.

Revert your .css templates? Or go through and compare them to the default .css templates? Those are both ways to do it.
