Hi, I've battled for 2 days to make a banner for my new forum and I am still not happy with it.
I want it to stand out, look inviting and friendly and join reptiles and parrots together. What I did only looks ok and I want perfect.
I also want the background of the forum to be the same colour as the banner if it will look ok.
Can you please help me out. http://reptile-parrots.com/forums/

The banner I make will have a transparent background and will match any colour background.
Also no dimensions on banner size!!
Anyway Ive made a start and will post it tomorrow!

I am sorry for not giving you all the information. To be honest I dont have dimensions, I had to repeat the picture currently on to fill that top space. I honestly thought that it was a standard size and therefore did not think to mention it.
Thanks for working on it. ;)

try this, lemme know. I can change whatever you want. It's a PNG so it will blend in with your background.

Thank you!
Can you by any chance use my iguana instead of the snake? Thinking about it, the snake might scare the parrot people away.:D You can ask me for any reptile or parrot photos I own plenty.
Here is the photo I was working on:

The macaw:

Is it also possible to make the words a two tone?
Here is an example of what I am competing with: http://i256.photobucket.com/albums/hh164/terenure/smily/48a87750.jpg

Thank you for your time, I can pay for this if you want.

Reptileforums.net has an amphibian on its homepage dont worry about them..
Anyway moving on..
Bit of confusion on your exact wording, your URL is reptile-parrots (dash) your site name is Reptile Parrots (space) and you also list it Reptile & Parrot (& + no 's')
This is what I did

PNG & Transparent background - several layer effects, just depends what you like.

beautiful macaw btw! I have a mini yellow neck, love him!
(both pics are yours, I just added more light to the iguana to make him pop a bit and more contrast to the macaw. The font can be anything really. I just tried 2 but have hundreds with different effects that can be applied; just not sure what you are looking for. The font color choice was to keep it more in line with nature.
