Have you ever been able to upload avatars before?
Can you upload attachments?

No, I was never able to upload avatars. And yes, I can upload attachments.

In User CP -> Avatars -> User Picture Storage Type it should tell you if Avatars are bing stored in the database or the file system. If it's the filesystem you need to make sure the settings are correct (the folder exists) and it's chmod 777).
Try moving from the database to the file system or vice-versa and see if you still have the problem.
Can yo upload avatars via the admin cp? Or is it just as a user you have a problem?

I've set images/avatars to chmod 0777 but it is still not working. Yes, I can upload avas via admin cp and then I can select them via usercp, but if I select it, I'm getting this weird white page again. And everyone has the problem.
Images are currently being served from the database
How can I set it, to store in the file system?
Thanks for help.

In that same place in Admin CP you can change it to store in the file system. Create a directory and chmod it 777 per the help instructions available there.

Thanks, I've succesfully changed the store to file system. Now everything is working fine. I'm using the /images/avatars folder. You're great.
