create an external frontpage pulling threads from forum

Hi,
I would like create an external frontpage that pulls threads(sortable) from different forums.

I was wondering if someone could point me to the right direction with examples. Thanks


I bought vb this morning, noob to everything.


For example, www.mydomain.com <= it will load an external page with

12 most popular threads from forum id =1

followed by

12 most popular threads from forum id =2

and so forth..
