How to mass remove secondary user groups

On vB 3.6.8 is there a way to mass remove a secondary user group without having to go into each account?

Delete the usergroup should do it.

and what to do in 4.x if the secundairy user group cannot be deleted, but the users in the secundairy user must be deleted (cannot delete the group itself due to complex custom forum rights tight to that group)
