What +1 Does
+1 is basicly Googles answer to Facebooks Like button, it's just been released so there will be alot of hype and movement over it in the coming days.

What This Mod Does
This mod inserts the javascript before your header making the script load faster, all you then have to do is insert a small tag where ever you want the button to show up


Some template hooks (http://mod-mall.com/topic/29-vbulletin-plus-one-positions/) (automaticly installed without template edits)
Guest on/off
Usergroup on/off
Choose style of plus button
Allow users to disable

great mod for something that just came out today. works 100% fine and installed in minutes. i put it in SHOWTHREAD instead so it is in line with the Facebook "Like" button and now they can battle it out for internet forum domination!!

Happens from time to time nothing to do with the mod, think its just googles servers feeling the strain

I don't think it is, it could be something to do with permissions or server load... it did it to me for about 15 minutes after I filled in the permissions pop up... then it went away...

When it's working it looks like a facebook type thing with your name and a counter of how many others have done it.

I did the same thing that outlawed did, and it works great up in the corner, however, I seem to be getting red exclamations when I attempt to +1 something. I just assume its something on the google side this early.

Doesn't seem to work if you have facebook connect disabled. :( Will only show on forum home. When facebook connect is enabled, it shows above the threads as expected.

Would love to use this, but don't want to manually edit templates. Too much of a hassle when upgrading. If you ever decide to make it work without a manual template edit - I will install and nominate!

For some reason the exclamation mark only appears in the threads, it doesn't seem to appear in the blogs. This happens all the time. Also in the threads, there is no box next to the +one image to display how many times the thread has been liked.

Which one are you trying to use? and if possible can you send me a screenshot of your settings.

Has anyone been able to get this to work on a non-vbseo forum? I can't get it to work on any of my stock forums that have the same URLs as they do here on VB 3 (I'm using VB 4 without changing the URL.)

As I said, the same URLs as are produced by stock vB 3 as are on vb.org. There is no thread subject in the url like vbseo and as introduced in vb 4.

Is there a way to control which forums the +1 button does or does not display in? For example, I have vbseo likes turned off in private forums used by site staff and in some other sections where I have content that isn't relevant and/or I don't want indexed.

I have uploaded it in to the admincp directory but the I can see the Plus One Script in my VBulletin Options.

Basically, go into the head tags (I put it in SHOWTHREAD so in my case it was there) and find the following:

CHANGE TO

Include the absolute path to your forum (eg. www.yoursite.com/forums/

For Google +1, these are all different links:

domain.com
www.domain.com
domain.com/index.php

So no matter they are in fact the same page, you can add +1 to each of them and Google will treat them as 4 different pages for their +1 count.

For Facebook, these are the same links:

So the Likes count will be the same either case.

But if you remove the "index.php" at the end, Facebook will treat them as different pages.

Issue #2

When your thread has more than one page, Both Google +1 and Facebook will treat them as different pages. I know in this case they are really different pages, but it would be nice if both Google +1 and Facebook Likes would count for the whole thread, as it is a single topic either way.

I've only got it running on the /forums/ page now. Now the issue I have with firefox is it sometimes stops the loading of the entire page. Not every time, but some times, and as soon as I disable the plug in, no more issues loading the page. It might have something to do with the new firefox 6, which has issues of it's own.
