Is it possible to create a social networking site with vb or addons to make the user exp more like ning?

Only if you severely modify vbulletin. Im not talking about just adding some addons.

A better solution is adding a major Social Networking platform. Have you looked into PHPFox or JoomSocial? There are ways to connect that to vbulletin.

No i havent, just seeing if options such as those were out there! Sounds copl, how hard is it? Woulf they mess up the db? I installed dolphin and it overwrote my wp db

You can connect vbulletin andJoomla/JoomSocial with Jfusion (http://www.jfusion.org/). That seems to work well.

Hm thanks Is anyone familiar w/ using either or knows of an example w/ vb?
