user cant post pdf attachment

I have registered user who unsuccessfully tried to upload a pdf file to a thread and wasnt able to, I checked on admincp/attachment permissions and it was enabled for his user group (registered users), does anyone know where I need to adjust the settings so he can post?

It might be the file size stopping it uploading, try increasing the limit to a larger number.

Do other attachments upload ok?

yes they do load ok, let me go figure out where to increase the file size.
