Help please. Googled it and searched this site and can only find 3.8 updates for this. (I'm on 4.0.8).
Is there an easy way to change the favicon? I've got it sat here on my desktop. Where is it on the file structure on my server? Can I just replace it?
Otherwise is there a mod to add?

put this inside your <head> tag in the head template:
<link rel="icon" href="http://example.com/favicon.ico" type="image/x-icon">
You don't need a mod for everything...

I know; I'm just lazy.
Which file and where is it or how do I get to it?

Its easy, take your favicon image, save it, and rename it to this excatly favicon.ico
then upload it to your public_html folder, or wherever you have your inital vbulletin installed...it doesnt have to go into any specific folder, just the main section where you have vbulletin installed.
Then simply delete your cookies, refresh a few times and there it is.
it is excatly like uploading an image to your forum. it just needs to be named favicon.ico
templates edits can work, but aren't necessary.

Was going to say exactly that. You may need to clear your browser cache before it shows, but that's how to upload it.
Remember not to overwrite your customised favicon when upgrading to a newer version of VB though.

The favicon.ico should go in the root of your website, no matter if it's vbulletin or just some basic HTML page.
