I have the latest VBulletin Forum - 4.1.3
I have added a few mods without any problems. However a lot of the mods I can't seem to upload as when I do try to upload the XML I get the following error message:
/home/sites/lfc4life.net/public_html/forum/dbtech/thanks/includes/class_install.php appears to be missing!
This is just one example. But it usually has the last part "php appears to be missing!"
I don't see how it works for some mods and not others.
Can anyone help?
Thanks in advance.

I might be uploading it wrong.
But it has worked for a few mods.

If it says a file is missing, have to gone and verified that it exists? Make sure you follow the instructions to install a modification. If it says to upload the files first and then install the product, then make sure you do it in that order.
If you have problems installing a specific mod, then you need to post in the modification thread for help.

How do you install files? That isn't usually in the instructions.
Do you do it the same way you upload the XML?
I think that might be the problem.

Install files means FTP to your server.
Your File Transfer Protocol log in details will have been supplied to you when ordered your hosting package. ie Hostgator etc
Then you will need to use a FTP program, I use Filezilla but you can use any you wish or are more comfortable with.
Once loaded you transfer files from your PC to your sever following exactly the same path.
We use a method called 'Drag and Drop' ie Highlight the files you want moving and drop them into your public_html folder, all corresponding files and folders will land in the correct places.
Now its time to install the .XML

Do I put the zip files into filezilla and then drop and drag them to the server?
Or can I just drop and drag the files straight from my pc to the server without filezila?
If it is the later, I don't see why you need filezila?
Could someone please clarify.

You need *some* application to be able to drag/drop the files from your PC to the server. That application may not be filezilla, but you must use something.
You are going to want to unzip the file first and take a look at the contents of the zip file and then follow the modification instructions about what to do with all the files.
