Error In Styles?

Ok so i've started messing around with the default VBulletin style, Just the legal things like the style vars ect...

Now my problem is every time i upload a new style it just uses the same as my default style. Saves the colours n everything doesnt do the style that its ment to do. Is there any help please its really getting to me

Never ever ever use the default style to play around with. If you want to work with a blank slate make a new style with no parent and give it a unique name.
Now as for it messing up did you when you uploaded the other styles:
Tell it no parent?
Tell it to ignore the style version?
