Defaulty, when you turn your forum off, you have the ability to display a "reason for turning off", which is displayed for anyone visiting the site, and the ability to navigate around the website is disabled.
Is there any way for me to further limit what is displayed when the forum is turned off, so that there is only a log in form, and nothing else? For example, just a log in form in the middle of the page with literally nothing else would be ideal.

I have mine set up where it doesn't show the login or announcements when the board is turned off. I have a link in my browser to my admincp if I need it. The login won't do any good for anyone other than admins anyway.

Fair enough, how do you do this? A completely blank page would work, too.

I would have to look at my code and see exactly how I did it. I did it a while back and added it to my tools product, which also has about 16 other mods in it for my site.

If you could, that'd be great :D
This is really high priority for me.

Why not just use .htaccess?

Can you be more specific, please? I've used .htaccess a little in the past, but don't know what you mean in relation to my original question.

When you want to close your forums, just use an .htaccess file to password protect your forums, which in turn, will display only a login box
