Automatic email/PM few days after signup

I would like to send an automated email/PM to any new member a few days/weeks after they sign up, reminding them about all the features of the site. I searched and checked out many mods but haven't found one so far. Any suggestions?

Nobody eh? I thought there would be others wanting to send out a courtesy email after a short while to make sure new members will return.

We have a home grown plugin that emails inactive (no posts in the last x days) users with a reminder after a certain number of days, and puts their account into an inactive group after a longer period.

I'm not planning a public release, but if you think it may help I'll let you use it (unsupported).

It would be easy to adapt for your purposes.
