I have a few forums running 3.8.x and I'm getting ready to start up a 4th site. I'm pretty well versed in 3.8 but not so much in 4. My question is am I better off staying with 3?. I also hear that 4 is more resource intensive than 3.
I also like to use vbadvanced for my cms as I'm also vell versed in it's function and setup.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

vb3 would be a much better choice. Its easier to work with and has many more mods for it.
Latest is not always the greatest. Latest can be the worst as well. Vb4 is not that bad but vB3 is definitely a much better choice.

both these answers are only opinions ;)
The OP should try both, vb 4 isn't that bad once you figure out where everything is, I think it's better than 3 but that's just me :)

Isn't VB3 approaching EOL soon? I'd go with VB4 as it's likely to be supported longer.
