New to the board and to VB4 - Couple fo questions

Hello all - I recently purchased VB4 and I have it installed and working. I haven't turned my forums on as I am not finished setting them up. I have a few questions I am hoping can get answered - here goes:

How can I change the font color in the forum header? I created a dark style I really like but in the description are just under the header the font is in dark grey and the block it is in is black so it can be read. I found the font style in the stylevar but did not see an option to change the color.

Next - on the front page it has the section and category blocks to the left of the page. Can I get these to not show up on the page without deleting them and if so how? I would like for the articles to be in the center and for the left side of the page to list recent articles and for the right to list recent forum post. It already does this just need to remove the section and categorys blocks.

Can experienced users let me know what critical steps or settings I need to adjust prior to turning my forums on? I have the human verification set to question and answer. What other security issues would I need to watch out for?

Chasing styles can be an exasperating experience. Fortunately vB has put out a .PDF which names the style settings for many things. I don't recall the URL but you can find it.

One of the best things you can do is get Firebug for Firefox and learn how to use it. With Firebug you can change many style settings and see the results in real time. There's a vb tutorial on using it. Google should help you find it.

Be prepared for a learning curve, but it's well worth the effort.
