Need help with skin

How do I make the image go to a black background instead of repeating the image.

Here is the code i am currently using in the body:
#FFFFFF url(http://www.-------.com/-----/background.jpg)

I don't want the background to repeat as the page gets longer, I want it to just show a solid black color.
