This is the nomination thread for Board of the Month of June 2011.

Let me reiterate the rules for this thread:
Only post nominations or seconds, no chatter.
All seconds are to be placed in 1 post, with a max of 3.
All seconds should include the word "second" or "+1".
All posts must be in English.Please abide by these rules or your post will be removed.





Nominations will be accepted until the 31st of May 2011 (close to midnight... close means +/- HOURS. YES, I WILL CLOSE AND GET TO IT AS "SOON" AS I CAN (Like when they have to type that code in the tv show "LOST" this is some serious stuff here!!!)

When nominating please post the site name, URL to the forum, a short description what makes your board stand out from default vBulletin, and a reason for nomination that will motivate others to second the nomination. If the staff feels that a nomination post is too promotional it will be edited accordingly.

Any sites without a name, URL, description and reason for nomination will NOT be entered into the poll. Please ensure that your nomination is in the format:

Reason for Nomination: I've always loved vBulletin and when I bought a license to migrate our SMF Users, I said to myself "I need to do something special with this". I've already had the bar set high from my SMF customizations and I wanted to impress.

Thus the "Aegis7 Template" was born and designed in a unique way that still holds true to the vBulletin design but looks so Dead Space-y, it's getting mentions from the Dead Space team itself.

The unique feature is the ability to use the "Unitology" font in posts, also of my design. Which translates everything into Markings that is used throughout the game. The whole site can also be translated to this very font (see here: http://forums.aegis7.com/?&styleid=4).

Description: A community devoted to women's health and fitness. The site is about sharing knowledge, learning from, being supportive of, and inspired by, each other. It is not exclusive to women, but it is largely about women. Note that there are two sections of the forum that are only viewable to members (membership is free). One is a journals section where people share themselves, so the members requested a bit of privacy; the other is a "members only/adult content" section, but not in the typical sense. That is, it's not porn or sex or anything like that; it's just a section where people can swear in their posts, and be more direct than they can be elsewhere. The site has the "enter at your own risk" qualifier so that people who don't care for that stuff (like myself really) don't have to stumble across it, but those who do need to vent now and then can do so. If that qualifies as "adult content" in regard to contest regs, then please pull my nomination. I just wanted to be open about that.

Reason for Nomination: This site is exceptional because it has been open for just over 1 week and already has a great following of amazing people. 9 days in and already 168 members, many of whom came over from another forum (that announced it was closing), and over 1200 posts. Part of the growth success, I think, is that I give them post credit for their post counts from the old forum (which is why some people have 20,000+ posts already). The forum is also exceptional because of the "be nice" rule I have set up. People are free to discuss and disagree, but they must do so with respect and manners. So far, I have only had to ask one user to edit a post - 1 out of 1200 - which suggests to me that people are happy with the "be nice" rule. Lastly, it is a forum about the members. The members have a voice, both in terms of recommending changes, and even to the logo design contest that I am running. The members will choose how the foum looks. From a design perspective, it is the opposite of fancy, so F3 will win no nominations for that! But from a "this feel's like home" perspective, I am blown away at how well the members have built it. This is my first forum.
