View Full Version : How do I display New Posts by X time?
I know how to add a drop down to the menu bar, but not sure the right paramaters for the URL to show the following:
- All new posts since last visit
- All new posts in past 6 hrs
- All new posts in past 1 day
- All new posts in past 3 days
Thanks.

New Posts in the Last 4 Days - change 4 to whatever you want:
search.php?do=getdaily&days=4&contenttype=vBForum_Post
New posts since last visit:
search.php?do=getnew&contenttype=vBForum_Post
4 hrs would be something like below? Thanks.
search.php?do=getdaily&hours=4&contenttype=vBForum_Post

How do I change the settings of "new posts" tab so that it displays topics that have been commented on in the last 4 days??
Edit: I actually wont a button or something that will show active topics. That would be heaps handier.

No. hours is not an variable that may be used. 4 hours is 1/6 of a day or .17 or so.

What is an 'active' topic? I would think it would be threads with new content which is what What's New shows. If it's something else, then define it please.

<a href="http://www.clanz.com.au/forums/search.php?search_id=active_topics&sid=6c9e1c9dcc53b8a07ab2561103cf3123" target="_blank">http://www.clanz.com.au/forums/searc...b2561103cf3123</a>
Ok for instance that link is a gaming forum, not mine, just an example and that section shows all active topics. Its topics that are used the most and is heaps easier for finding threads, rather then going back through the other way to find a thread.
Edit: If you click forums on clanz it will take you back to yur normal page like vb4 does although clanz has a "active topics" button. Once you click that you will get a better picture of what it does.

How is that different than What's New? It looks like a list of threads that were most recently replied to which is what What's New is.

Its actually a heap different because once you read those threads they don't just disappear and then when you wanna comment in them the next day or something they are still in active topics not like they do in "whats new".

I have it finished and it will be included in my User Links mod when I finish updating the User Links portion of the mod.

Look in my profile at the bottom of the page. But the new version isn't there yet, just the older one.

Boofo is it going to be possible to create a tab using your mod and set it for say last 4 days?
