I reported this a long time ago and it doesn't seem to have been fixed. When I go to the Admin CP ==> Advertising ==> Add New Ad, I can create a new ad for any area of the forum except the Thread First Post Content area. When I do, the ad doesn't populate.
So I went to the actual template and saw it was blank. So vBulletin is not populating this template. So I manually added the code into the template.
<div id="ad_thread_first_post_content">..<vb:if condition="$adsshown[] = 9">INSERT AD CODE HERE</vb:if></div>
And it now shows the content twice. So the issue is:
1) The Advertising module is not populating this template
2) When you manually edit the template it duplicates the code.
I am using 4.1.3.
