Well I got to say I am finding that the mods although being very good seem to lack support. After putting out so much money on the forum software and skins and now to find this is a bit disappointing. It would seem if a mod works 100% then all is good and well but if any problems are found then you seem to be very much on your own. To date I have always made a point in making a donation to any of my main mods used on any of my forums. I however feel that I cannot do this with mods that have issues and are not supported :(

Keep in mind, that all mods are voluntarily submitted. These are in no way "official" releases from vBulletin. The author doesn't have to support if they don't want to, or another reason being, they may just not have the time to, or any other circumstances may be coming in to play that they can't/won't support their modifications.

It depends on mods. Most issues with mods require simple fixes.
You can always get help using the paid help section or ask here. Even if Mod is not supported by the author, there is a lot of help available here from other people.

@ HMBeaty - Yes I do realize all this stuff and this is why I say I normally make a point in making a donation to my main mods that I use. I just feel it is the right thing to do as I know what must be put into doing a mod. On the other hand no one is forcing anyone to make these mods either :D
@ futureaudio - well yes I thought about going paid and I did offer to pay for the author to fix the one mod and no response at all

Even if Mod is not supported by the author, there is a lot of help available here from other people.
Coders who originally made the mods might be unavailable due to various kinds of reasons. It does not mean you can not get help. As I said, most mods only require simple fixes. Is there a particular mod that is giving you problem? We can try to fix/debug if you give us more information. :D
